Dear friends of the new hhh site, here are over a hundred of my favorite pics from my trip to Rwanda. I was hoping to stay in contact more while I was gone but between shooting a documentary and making an album with a bunch of different local musicians, there was hardly a spare sec. Most nights we would write and record music; and most days we would venture hours down dirt roads to visit small communities and/or remote villages for the documentary. They are beautiful people - I've never experienced such a friendly country. Considering their recent violent history, and how little they have to live on compared to western culture, it blew my mind how much love and happiness they have to share - even with strangers. So in that sense they are extremely wealthy. And they LOVE music and dance over there...man. But I won't say too much now cuz it's all in a documentary called Song For Africa that will come out in 2010, so I'll post a link when it does. For now, here are some of my favorite pix:

That's amazing how you got to take the trip of a lifetime to such a place. I want to say good job. It seemed like you made a great impact on those children lives while you were there and I know for fact they won't ever forget what you did for them. I must say I've always wanted to take a trip to Africa to do some change for the world. I actually use to sponsor a child in Haiti through World Vision. Your pictures made me want to do it again. I want the feeling that I'm making someone elses life better than my own.

=)
